Statement:

Began 5 years ago doing professional work in film and television doing whatever was required on set as a junior editor, DIT, data wrangler, logger and runner. Good work ethic and the ambition to further improve past experience. Recently finished working on Season 15 off Strictly Come Dancing as a logger for BBC Studioworks and now looking to move onto something better and to naturally progress on what has been done so far.

 

Skills:

  • Proficient in the use of editing software Premiere Pro, FCP X & FCP 7.

  • Full clean driving license and own car.

  • Live studio and live set location experience.

  • Computer literate: Mac OS, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.  

  • Research skills: research via library and internet. Organised and self motivated.

  • Enthusiastic with a willing can-do attitude, can work long hours at moment’s notice.

 

Career Experience/Summary:

  • Data wrangler and senior logger for BBC Studioworks, responsible for ingesting, backing up, tracking hundreds of hours of footage a week. Responsibilities included managing a team of three loggers, quality checking rushes for discrepancies and creating directors tapes each week so the director can map out the shots for the live shows. Strictly Come Dancing series 13-15 and Strictly: It Takes Two. September 2015 – Present.

  • Runner/Driver for the music video Beehive for the artist Mark Lanegan. Directors Zhang & Knight of Agile Films. March 2017.

  • Video Editor for Secret Sunset launch fashion show video. Assembled the recorded material into its final product form and mixed in the music, Edited on FCP X. June – August 2016.

  • Production runner, junior editor and autocue operator at Broadley Studio. Duties included general office management such as dealing with clients, organising studio booking arrangements, autocue operator and delivery of equipment as well as maintaining the studio space. Working on daily basis for Broadley Studio included work on feature and short films, music videos, corporate videos, viral advertisements and broadcast television. April 2012 – 2017.

  • Post-production Runner for Fifty-Fifty Post-Production. Work activities involved management of petty cash, dealing with clients, delivering post and equipment to local clients. April – May 2015.

  • Edit Assistant for the Royal Hutchinson College. Edited short film educational language programmes for use of the BBC Bitesize website. September 2014 – March 2015.

  • Logger/Runner at BBC Post-Production studio: Archiving for BBC Worldwide services and for BBC Radio. October 2014 – March 2015.

  • Junior FCP Editor for Stay Still Productions: Assisted Editing for the behind the scenes documentaries, sharp promos, and intelligent dramas of DVD extras for BBC's 'The Musketeers'. Edited on FCP 7. November 2014

  • Editor: Edited a Sci-Fi short film called Agony Aunt for the Sci-Fi London Film festival. Edited on FCP X. August 2014

  • Production Runner for Simon Greene Associates Limited: Assisted in the production of an episode of Dragon's Den and a corporate video of Carbon Trust. November 2014

  • Gaffer Assistant & Production Runner on the short film ‘F*ck it’ Director: Destiny Ekaragha, commissioned by Dazed Digital. Genre: Drama. June 2014

  • Runner/Driver on a TGI Friday advertisement for Egyptian television at Duke Island Studios. March 2014.

  • Sound Recordist and boom operator: Short film Apex, for Marble Eye Pictures. Directed by Eren Gürcan-Kempfer. Genre: Thriller/Horror. September 2013 – June 2014.

  • Production Runner on the short film They Can't Take That Away From Me. Director: Tom Mould. Genre: Drama. August 2012

  • Gaffer Assistant for a Sci-Fi short film production shoot at Ealing studios. Director: John Bowe, Production Title: War Room. Genre: Science-Fiction. May 2012

  • Production Runner on a McDonald’s commercial shoot by Tantrum Productions Ltd. Production Manager Edward Tull. April 2012.

  • Volunteer at the British Film Institute: Managed a production team of young filmmakers to broadcast BFI events onto Facebook Live. A part of the BFI’s weekly future film festival meetings that arranges upcoming events for young filmmakers. February 2012 – Present.

 

Qualifications:

A2 levels: ICT, English Literature, Media Studies

AS levels: ICT, English Literature, and Media Studies 2008-2010 Capital City Academy. 

9 GCSEs: Chemistry, Biology, Physics, English Literature, Geography, Maths, English Language, French, History. 2002-2008 Portland Place School

 

Interests:

  • New Media technology: researching and exploring the new developments in media technology used in filmmaking.

  • Film Festivals. I like to attend as many festivals as I can

  • Internet. Using the internet to research skills in film and television.

  • Cinema: going to watch films with friends and family, discussing film, reading critical texts on cinema. As well as watching intelligent TV drama.
